Serving humanity is one of the best and good deed in the world:-)

It was really a tough job and I think this task was to check my convincing and persuading skills. I can’t even imagine what Edhi Sahab had felt while collecting. How much money we collect doesn’t carry more importance than what efforts we do to collect it because on a personal note I believe your great work will itself speaks louder than any thing you do which Edhi Sahab has portrayed well. As Edhi Sahab also said;

“You have to care for all beings created by GOD…my mission is to help any person in need”

Help humanity, save humanity

Challenges are a part of life. Many ups and downs we have to face in our lives whether it’s a success or failure, a person learns from the experience. Similarly, through this activity we learned how to face different challenges by accepting failures. As with a lot of struggle to convince people to donate for humanity and serve for the betterment of society, we faced failures and disappointments in not getting donations from people. But it’s the main theme of this task that we have to pursue our abilities and different skills by accepting challenges.

“Every good deed has the ability to win hearts and prayers of others”

We tried to collect funds individually which was seemingly more easy to carry on because we were able to work on it according to our feasibility of time. As in our busy lives in other situations and facts we were struggling individually to get up to the mark but all in vain. We have faced a lot of disappointments from others in that case and we have up with a little amount of collection for Edhi center. But again, the struggle was pure enough to judge our attitude towards others and keep moving without losing hope or getting disheartened.

Everything comes with pros and cons and there is nothing in the world that can be achieved easily because if it does, it lacks its sweetness. During collection the biggest challenge was to convince people to at least donate the smallest amount they can pay. In this pandemic situation, as we were not allowed to go outside for fund collection our batch decided to provide easy paisa or jazz cash accounts for fund transfer. This made the collection a little more difficult in my experience because people who don’t have any of these accounts were with least probability to pay. They were more prone to the excuse that who will put effort to search for the easy paisa shop and go to just transfer 10–100 Rs.

Due to different pros and cons we were able to collect a small amount of money according to our team efforts, as it was quite challenging to collect enough donations through online campaigns or individual setup.

Transaction successful..!
Donation successful to Edhi Center..!

I thank Amal for giving us this task so that we can experience what Sir Syed had to experience to open a university. Edhi Sahab had experience during a major portion of his life and many more unsung heroes. I don’t consider this experience a failure because if I was able to collect a single penny by convincing someone. I think I have made a difference, not in society but at least in myself: my skills, my attitude etc.

This journey gave us a really great experience for us to focus on our abilities and interpersonal skills including communication and behavior management according to required conditions.

“Learning Experience teaches you the best outcome in life matters”

Hope to have more experiences in our life to serve humanity..!

Good Luck:-)
